IN MY SHOES
Eye Arts Festival:
A social engagement project exploring the experience of becoming and being a mother in the 21st Century in rural Suffolk, UK
This project worked with Mum’s from the local community
providing a safe and non-judgemental space, to share stories of child birth and the
experience of being a Mum.
The installation, formed from their stories, made into mini-books and their shoes took place in an empty corner shop. She wanted the work to be accessible, to be seen by as many people as possible. To give space to these powerful, personal stories, out on the street, accessible and positively provocative.
